While trying to prove himself, police officer Roger Abbott becomes immersed in a drug gang investigation involving a Boyd Peterson, who just happens to be Janice Peterson’s uncle. Besides feeling insecure about his job, he is also still mourning the death of his wife. A surprise meeting on the lake introduces him to Janice. There is an instant attraction between them, despite his reluctance to open his heart to another woman. Janice Peterson is gradually recovering from the loss of her mother. She is also worried about her uncle Boyd, who has been after her father for his share of their father’s inheritance. After a near miss on the lake with Roger’s iceboat, she finds her life turned upside down. And it seems her uncle’s illegal activities will continue to push her toward Roger Abbott. In a series of twists, both are placed in danger by Janice’s uncle Boyd, and must work together if they are to overcome their trials. Can they survive to have their happily ever after?
